📚 Should wealth be a factor in the prioritisation of organ transplantation?
Could a wealthy patient gain priority points by paying a fee?
In my new paper, I introduce an original thought experiment: The Quota-Allocation Formula. It grants a limited fee-based advantage between medically equivalent patients. Each paid advantage generates a free priority award for another patient, while the revenue is reinvested into transplantation.
Could such a system preserve fairness while resisting the commodification of human organs?
